When I was in NYC I also got a chance to stop by the “The Awe of the Arctic: A Visual History” exhibit at @nypl, which includes both historical documentation and contemporary artwork that engages the arctic. I was especially excited to see these @ragnaraxelsson photographs from his Arctic Heroes series. These are on the 3rd floor, but be sure to visit all 4 gallery spaces that are part of the exhibition.

A fun day at @scanhouse to kick off their Faroe Islands Culture Days. The Fog Swept Cargo exhibition opened, with an accompanying panel discussion, followed by a screening of the film Heartist about the life and work of artist @sigrungunnarsdottirart. It was a real treat to have a Faroese event like this in America, and well worth the trip to NYC.
